MMWR: AADM Network Surveillance Summaries / March 24, 2023
The Autism and Developmental Disabilities Monitoring Network (ADDM) estimates of the overall prevalence of ASD among children aged 8 years for 2020 was 27.6 per 1,000 (one in 36) children aged 8 years and was 3.8 times as prevalent among boys as among girls (43.0 versus 11.4).
Geographic Distribution of Clinical Care for Transgender and Gender-Diverse Youth
A recent Pediatrics article examines how geographic barriers limit access to clinical care in the United States for transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) youth. Researchers aggregated data for mental health providers for TGD youth by state. Related articles:

As of March 17, 2023, more than 103.8 million COVID-19 cases and more than 1.1 million deaths have been reported, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
