New clinic offers vaccinations for children with disabilities

Flu season is here, but it’s not too late to vaccinate! UI Health Care Center for Disabilities and Development is currently offering flu vaccinations for children (and some adults) with disabilities and a fear of needles. Clinic features:

  • Specially trained staff
  • Non-clinical environment to reduce anxiety
  • Distraction activities
  • Prizes and snacks to celebrate a successful vaccine

The new issue of the EPSDT Care for Kids newsletter has guidance for respiratory virus infections

The Winter 2024 issue of the "Care for Kids" newsletter features a lead article, "Caring for Patients During the 2023-24 Respiratory Viral Season," by Megan N.
