 Anticipatory guidance resources and materials to share with families

Ages and Stages - Iowa State University provides free, downloadable handouts on child development based on age. (These are not associated with the screening tool of the same name.)

Bright Futures - A joint project of the Maternal and Child Health Bureau and the Academy of Pediatrics, these offer comprehensive health supervision guidelines and tools, including recommendations on immunizations, routine health screenings, and anticipatory guidance. Bright Futures also offers free parent handouts and other resources).

Healthy Start, Grow Smart - These booklets, published by the US Department of Health and Human Services, are sent to the parents of infants age birth to 12 months who are enrolled in Medicaid. The families of babies born in November 2004 were the first to receive these publications. A different booklet is sent each month, and discusses topics appropriate to the baby's age.
